Well, I came home for lunch, my dog jumped up and barked at my friend as she usually does when people she doesn't know come into the house. But just about two hours later I came back home from school and something was off. She wasn't responding to the fact that I came home. And I kept making noises and jumping around. Nothing. I started panicking. She kept looking side to side and I thought she was dying since she wouldn't lift her head. I was terrified, I started shaking violently. I was not ready to lose my dog, I love her so much!
So I stayed with her and comforted her. Later on, she started being for active, She knew I was there when I petted her and stuff. Then I handed her food gradually and she ate it, and sniffed everything the cute, usual way she does it, and later stood up too. So, thank God, for now she's ok. I thought her eyesight was completely gone, and most of her hearing, but it looks like she reacts a tiny bit when I move or say something really loud. I thought she might've had a stroke, and I just looked up the symptoms a couple of minutes ago and some of them match how she's been acting.. like the turns head the other way when I call her name..
Well overall I'm glad she's fine for now, but I have to accept the fact that it will happen eventually... I'll miss her so much the rest of my life, but at least she lived this long, 12 years is a long time for a German Shepherd! Anyway, I'll stop being all depressing for now, what matters at the moment is that even though her behavior changed a bit, she's good for now! :)
Just a blog about our opinions and things that are going on in our life and anything else that pops into our mind! :)
